Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Beware of spoilers)

So, yesterday I went to see the new Star Wars movie. So first off I have to say that I was never into Star Wars. Until about 4 or 5 years ago I haven’t even seen Star Wars. A friends of mine made me watch the original movies and I’ve only seen them once and I only went to see the new movie because a.) I work in a comic shop where probably everyone is gonna talk about it and we sell a lot of merch so I kinda need to know a bit about it and b.) some people from work were asking me if I wanna come along and I usually never say no to going to the cinema. Fact is…I’m glad I did see the film because I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I’m absolutely in love with BB-8. He’s possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen and he reminded me of Wall-E. I wanted to take him home with me. He’s so adorable and precious.

I really liked the new people. Finn and Poe were great. I really liked their dynamics. I hope we’ll see a lot more of those two in the upcoming movies. They’re such a good team and the chemistry is so great. I secretly ship them. *hides*

I also really like Rey. I was happy to know that a girl is actually fighting the main villain. I thought Finn would be the one but it was actually her and I loved that. There needs to be more badass women.

I absolutely loved Poe. I didn’t think I would love him as much as I did. He was a fantastic character and I was so sad when he supposedly “died”. I knew that wouldn’t be it for him but he was away for quite a while which was sad. At least he came back with a bang.

I mean, before the movie came out everyone was wondering what connection the new people have with the old ones aka Han, Leia, Luke and so on. A lot of people were thinking Rey was Han & Leia’s daughter which to be fair still is a possibility who knows but I think she has more of a connection with Luke because of the fact that Luke’s lightsaber kinda chose her out of everyone which tells me that there is some sort of connection at least. What I was surprised about was that Kylo Ren was actually Han and Leia’s son. I didn’t expect that and it was a nice twist. Tho it was funny how easily they reviled that in the movie by them just randomly talking about it. It wasn’t a big shock moment it was just kinda there out in the open in a normal conversation. Leia telling Han that he should get him back because there’s still a possibility that he can get through to him totally fucked me over because when that scene was on I actually truly thought he got through to him and then he just killed him and I was shocked. And Han is just there staring at him and then stroking his face before falling down and I’m just there like…what. I mean, according to a few of my work friends, Harrison Ford wanted Han Solo to die anyway. Apparently already in the second movie of the originals but I didn’t see that coming in that particular scene. I mean, he’s Han freaking Solo…he doesn’t just die but apparently he does. Chewie’s reaction was great tho and then him just shooting around was great.

The movie has definitely great action and a lot of humor which evens it out so well and I really liked it.

And then you have of course the cliffhanger in the end with Rey and Luke. I just really wanna know what connection they have to each other. Is she his daughter? Are they related? I just wanna know.

Anyways, this was definitely a great movie and worth watching at the cinemas and I will definitely watch it again and possibly even buy it on DVD or BluRay which really is a crazy thing to say coming from me. I mean, as I said…until yesterday I didn’t even really like Star Wars.

Seriously the cutest thing ever ♥

So yeah, go watch it if you haven’t already 🙂
